An encounter, whatever its nature, is a moment of convergence, whether material or immaterial: the exhibition at KunstWerkt explores the anatomy of this moment, observing its traces and rituals.

This project highlights fourteen artists who present joint or mirrored creations in various disciplines, all born out of this exchange. These include installation, ceramics, collage, drawing, wood engraving, painting and photography.

This exhibition is organised as part of an artistic exchange between Les AAB in Paris (France) and KunstWerkt. After being displayed in Paris it is now being presented at the Art Centre in Schiedam.

AAB consists of more than 250 artists and 23 groups, all working in the visual arts and based in the Belleville district of Paris. Founded in 1989 by artists who wanted to make a collective mark on the urban landscape and preserve creative spaces, it works to promote the work of artists and the cultural richness of Belleville. The association works to make art accessible to all, organises numerous events throughout the year and has, over time, established a unique and privileged relationship with the public.
